2023 - a year of records

BaselOne 23 took place on October 18 and 19, 2023 in the Markthalle. The 6th edition of the annual conference smashed a bunch of records.

Call for Papers

On the advice of our program committee head Ixchel Ruiz, we decided to use Sessionize as our platform for the Call for Papers. We never would have assumed that the tooling alone could make such a big difference. In the end, we were spoiled for choice from over 300 submissions for 6 workshops and 28 talks.

Keynote

or the first time in the history of BaselOne, we had a keynote speech by Adam Bien as the conference opener. Adam was also able to share fresh knowledge on the topic of Java in the cloud in two other sessions ( one workshop and one talk). In many conversations you confirmed to us that this decision was absolutely right.

Workshop registrations

The workshop day is meanwhile an integral part of every BaselOne. This year, for the first time, we were able to offer 6 workshops with a total of more than 60 participants.

Conference attendees

We hosted a total of 240 people on the conference day in the Markthalle. Not only did we beat our own record. It also resulted in a lot of great conversations and networking opportunities. Many thanks for that!
