BaselOne24 Call for Papers

BaselOne24 will take place on October 16/17, 2024, in the Markthalle Basel. The event will start on Wednesday with a workshop day, followed by the conference on Thursday with exciting presentations divided into four parallel tracks. For this we need your input.

You have one or more topics you’d like to talk about at BaselOne? You want to share expert knowledge with other developers in a workshop? Don’t hesitate and submit your proposals including a short bio until April 1, 2024, via https://sessionize.com/baselone-2024.

We would be happy to receive talks, experience reports and workshops in the areas of

Architecture
Build and Deploy (CI/CD, DevOps)
Data and AI
Programming Languages (C#, Python, JavaScript, Go, Rust)
JVM (Java & JVM Technologies )
Security
Server Side Technologies
FrontEnd, UI and UX
People and Culture
Scrum, Kanban, New Work, Agile Methodologies
and whatever brings Basel area to a higher speed level.

Length and language of talks

Your abstract should represent the content of the talk as accurately as possible. An individual talk must not exceed 45 minutes (plus five minutes for questions and answers). Additionally, we offer 20-minute slots (plus five minutes for questions and answers) specifically for newcomer speakers as an introduction to the community.

All talks can be held in German and English.

Length and language of workshops

The abstract should represent the contents of the workshop as precisely as possible. In any case, theory blocks should be coupled with practical examples and carried out. The individual workshops should last about three hours. We plan to hold two in parallel in the morning and two in the afternoon.

The workshops can be held in German or English.

Selection of the contributions

The selection of the contributions is based on the content by our program committee. We ask for your understanding that we may not be able to include all contributions in the program depending on the number and quality of submissions.

Compensation / assumption of costs

BaselOne is a non-commercial event of the association BaselOne. We ask for your understanding that we do not pay any expense allowance. For speakers who are not from Basel or its surroundings, we will cover one night’s hotel accommodation.
